1975: Study's Taekwon-Do from Richard Hamilton in his hometown of Newport Kentucky. Begin's teaching, four month's later.
1976: Rated as the number one jr. point fighter in the midwest United states by Karate Illustrated magazine.
1976: In only eighteen months he is awarded the rank of first degree black belt.
1978: Began his training in boxing from Ky.'s Terry O'Brien.
1979: Tko's A.A.U. Champion Tommy
Marshal for the Kentucky State Kickboxing Championship.
1979: Moves to Atlanta Georgia and begins his climb to the World title.
1981: Defeats Anthony Thompson for the Georgia State Kickboxing Championship.
Fighting under the name of "Golden Boy" Jerry becomes known as the Bad boy of the PKA and the Joe Namath of karate.
1983: Weeks after recovering from a broken collarbone, Jerry defeat's Robert Visitacion for the Southeast lightweight Title.
1984: Wins first runner up of the Z-93 (Atlanta Ga. radio) - $10,000.00 most outrages act contest. Jerry demolished 93 inches of wood with every part of his body in a matter of minutes.

1984: Ranked as the number three contender in the world, Jerry defeats U. S. Champion Tony Arneaud and becomes the new United States Champion and the number one world ranked contender.
1985: First professional boxing match with Atlanta's David Taylor, 36-4. The fighters stood in the center of the ring and went to war. The outcome was a draw.
1985: Jerry Travels throughout the U.S giving seminars on fighting and motivation. He becomes honorary advisor to the United States Taekwon-Do Alliance.
1985: Jerry is touted by the international kickboxing media as the fastest
kicker and flashiest fighter in the sport of Professional kickboxing. His hook kick was clocked at 118 mph and a jump spinning back kick with 685 lbs of force.
1986: Jerry "Golden Boy" Trimble defeats Leroy "Superfeet"
Taylor and becomes the PKA and PKC Lightwelter weight World Kickboxing Champion.
1987: Awarded the rank of fourth degree black belt by Dennis Donofrio of Atlanta Georgia.
1988: Ranked Number one in the world by the FFKA.
1989: He's ready for something bigger and retires, undefeated as World Champion. He heads west to Los Angeles California.
